  What better way to engage science-oriented youth with the world of STEM than fun and educational weeklong summer enrichment programs? The University of Southern Maine's STEM Outreach and Maine Robotics offer academic summer programs in nine locations across the state of Maine for the 2026 Season. We embrace the desire of Maine's youth to be engaged in the process of learning while engaging them in relevant and current STEM subjects and topics. We offer a wide variety of summer programs, including: LEGO Robotics (for ages 9-12); Programming in Minecraft (for ages 10-14); Build Your Own Computer (for ages 12-16); 3D Printing & Design (for ages 12-16); DIY Robotics and Electronics (for ages 12-16); Cubesat Camp (for ages 13-17); as well as specialty camps that change every year for a variety of age ranges.   We offer a variety of online workshops on molecular medicine for high-achieving high school and middle school students interested in pursuing careers in medicine or related fields, such as pharmacy, nursing or medical research. Online workshop are offered year-round, and include Medical Bioinformatics, Emerging Pathogenic Viruses, Medicinal Chemistry and Intro to Cellular and Molecular Medicine. Kids want to be responsible; they want to have a purpose and independence, but somehow us parents made it ok for them to forget those very same values we were raised with.
